MobJeX -- A Framework for Mobile Objects

MobJeX is a container based framework that adds adaptation capability to Java SE and ME (Personal Profile) applications, by providing runtime migration and dynamic swapping of application objects. This is done by transparently adding sophisticated capabilities to existing applications, using a source code level pre-compiler, without the need to write new code or manually modify existing source code. Following precompilation, automatic adaptation is supported by the middleware container in response to changes in the environment, but can also be carried out manually using the provided administration console.

The framework is a research project and is being made available to other researchers and developers who may be interested in contributing to further development and testing. Note that the framework should be considered as experimental and is not suitable for commercial or other mission critical deployment.
